Request Accommodations: 2022 National Prayer Vigil for Life

Every January on the eve of the March for Life, over 20,000 pilgrims attend the National Prayer Vigil for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. This vigil begins with a Mass which is an opportunity for Catholics from across the country to join together and pray for the protection of human life from conception to natural death in the United States.

In 2022, due to pandemic concerns, there will be limited attendance of up to 3,000 people at the National Prayer Vigil. Accommodations for persons with disabilities will be provided in a special seating area.

Volunteers are available to coordinate accommodations at this vigil (preferred seating, American Sign Language Interpretation, etc.) If you would like to request an accommodation for the vigil, please fill out the form below.

Please note:

- If we are able to accommodate your request, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a seating voucher for yourself  + 1 companion with instructions on where to go the day of the Mass in order to be seated.

- Due to space limitations, we can only allow one companion to accompany a person with a disability in the reserved area. All other members of the family/group are responsible for their own seating and should arrive early.

- Please arrive no later than 4:00 pm for the 5:30 pm Mass. Those with confirmation emails/vouchers will be seated on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 2:30pm.  (Be sure to bring a print-out of the voucher with you.)

- Note: After 4:00 pm seats will be released and accommodations cannot be guaranteed.

In order to best accommodate everyone please indicate the type of disability. If "other" please specify in the comments section.
Please describe the mobility accommodations that you will be using if any, such as a wheelchair, walker, service dog, ASL interpreter/Sign Language interpreter.
Would you be willing to take up gifts during the offertory procession? (Please note that due to the limited number of gift bearers, an indication of willingness does not serve as a guarantee that we will be able to accommodate everyone's generous offers of service in this capacity.)
Will you have a companion or family member sitting with you?
Do you need sign language interpretation?
Please leave any comments here if necessary.
