Every year, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) hosts the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in Washington D.C. This conference is an opportunity for Catholics across the country to learn and to educate others on relevant social ministry concerns, and to advocate for these social ministry concerns with legislative leaders.
The Catholic Social Ministry Gathering has a Diversity Outreach scholarship which is available for people with disabilities. This scholarship ensures that the rich diversity of the Church is represented on Capitol Hill by funding people of various racial, ethnic, and disability communities to attend the conference.
