What are families with diverse learners seeking when they ask to be a part of your community? Starting with a conversation about hopes and dreams can surface and clarify these desires and needs. Person-centered conversations can lead to insights that reinforce a spirit of welcoming with concrete plans. There is no one plan or answer, but through some stories, reflection and questions we will explore insights into welcoming, serving, and celebrating diverse learners.

- Families with persons with disabilities want belonging for them and their loved ones
- It's not enough to just say "yes"
- Truly listening can lead to ideas and plans that are likely more manageable than when we assume and don't ask questions
