It was great to have met so many new people interested in ministry with persons with disabilities. Providentially we were placed immediately next to, and had some great conversations with, a new diocesan director of disability ministry.We look forward to building upon and continuing to develop that relationship!
NCPD co-sponsored a Mass and Reception Honoring the Gifts of Persons with Disabilities, the Deaf Community, Family, Friends and Caregivers at the Shrine of St. John Neumann on Thursday, September 24, 2015 which was during the World Meeting of Families. This beautiful Mass was concelebrated by
Our annual Open Hearts and Junior Open Hearts Awards are cash grants available to houses of faith across the U.S. The awards help fund projects that make it possible for members of all abilities to participate in their worshipping community.
Applicants for the Junior Open Hearts Awards must be age 5-18. Parents and religious leaders may help to facilitate applications or children can submit applications on their own.
