January 31, 2011, the National Catholic Partnership on Disability’s Autism Task Force completed a survey in English of U.S. dioceses and parishes to gather data on the state of ministry with people having Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. We are now able to offer this survey in Spanish to reach those in the Hispanic community who are not English speaking.
Above are links to copies of the cover letter in English and Spanish to our diocesan directors of disability ministry with the request that you pass it on to your Spanish speaking constituents and to others in Hispanic ministry in your dioceses. Lee Nagel of the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership will distribute them to his CL Semanal readers. We hope you will consider mailing it to your constituents and any Hispanic organizations you know of, as well. The data collected is incomplete without including input from our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters.
The Spanish Survey closes on March 31, 2011. Included are links to the invitation letter in English and Spanish with a link to the Spanish, on-line survey. Also included is link to the Spanish survey on a form that can be used to collect data if needed. We ask that you collect the forms that you distribute and transfer the results to the electronic survey.
Thank you, again, for helping this survey reach a broader audience in our Catholic community.
